Presowing preparation of seeds, which includes their soaking, is the key to good germination and proper development of plants. Further disease resistance is highly dependent on this.
Seeds that do not need to be soaked
There are seeds, soaking which will not add anything to their early germination, and even worsen the situation. It is not necessary to soak the seeds in a very dense shell, since this will cause mold on them and the sprout will die.
No need to soak and very small seeds, similar in their properties to dust. They are not designed for such an impact, just pour them on the ground and cover them with a bag or glass on top, creating a greenhouse.
