Consult the seller about the conditions of delivery and lifting the sleeping couch to the necessary floor after the acquisition. As a rule, the delivery of furniture by large trading organizations is carried out independently, but the cost of lifting to the required floor is calculated separately.

Consider the size and possibility of delivering the sofa to the desired floor using a freight elevator when you plan to make a purchase. If the dimensions of the model you like exceed the size of the elevator, as well as in the absence of the latter, then measure the front doors, flights of stairs and cells to ensure manual furniture lifting.

Discuss with the loaders all the conditions for the delivery of the sofa to the apartment, make sure that it is not damaged during transportation. The access door and stair railing can damage the upholstery and result in a worthless purchase. To protect the cover of upholstered furniture from damage, it should be packed in a plastic film or in a fabric sheath. If it was not possible to agree with the loaders, then acquaintances or friends can help in raising the sofa to the floor.

Discuss with the seller the possibility of unassembled furniture delivery and subsequent assembly already in the apartment if the dimensions of the sofa clearly exceed the size of the front door and the flight of stairs.

Choose a method of delivering cargo to your home through the window opening if you are making a purchase of a non-separable model of a large-sized sofa. To do this, contact the organization that provides services to industrial mountaineering, which has a license and permits. Since such an operation requires access to the roof or attic of the house, coordinate the possibility of such delivery with the management company.

When lifting the sofa to the upper floors, climbers use a winch or a system of blocks. Since the upholstery of the sofa can come into contact with the walls and ledges of the house, it should be especially carefully packed in tarpaulin, felt or other dense matter.
