What are grommets?
Eyelets on the curtains are special holes in the upper part of the fabric, reinforced with metal or plastic rings, through which the curtain is fixed to the cornice. Eyelets came to the interiors of our houses from the decks of the ships, where they were used to secure the sails. Thanks to them, the holes in the sail through which the ropes passed did not break even in a strong wind.
Curtains on eyelets today are a stylish and functional element of the interior. Unlike the traditional way of attaching curtains to curtain rods with hooks, curtains on grommets are attached much easier: the cornice tube simply passes through the holes. This will take no more than a couple of minutes, after which it remains just to raise the cornice with the curtains and fix it on the brackets. Such curtains for the living room are the most optimal option: eyelets create beautiful even folds on the curtains, which are unnecessary to constantly correct. Thanks to the eyelets, the curtains can be easily moved along the ledge, darkening the room or, conversely, adding light.
