A down scarf is an elegant and practical part of every woman’s wardrobe. But over time, even the most beautiful and warm fluffy scarf acquires a yellowish tint and loses its softness. But you should not immediately throw out your favorite accessory, which can easily bring back the whiteness and attractiveness.
Washing is the solution to the problem
A faded shawl is not a problem if you know the common tricks to care for such things. It is important not to spoil it, so you need to follow simple and affordable rules:
- Before washing, carefully comb the handkerchief, removing visible dirt in the form of pellets and dust;
- dial a scarf on a strong and durable thread (capron or fishing line is quite suitable);
- optimal washing mode - 40-45оС;
- add special products as a washing powder without the addition of chemical bleaches (as a rule, products for the care of downy products or children's clothing);
- you can not twist the scarf, excess water can be removed by passing the product between your fingers;
- for drying, it is recommended to use a special frame, which serves as the basis for pulling the scarf (the dimensions of the scarf must match the dimensions of the frame), or lay the product on a horizontal surface.
