Instruction manual

1

In addition to a beautiful flower and buds that have not yet opened, each peduncle of an orchid has a growing tip. If it is green, then the plant is still able to form new buds and continue flowering. This can be observed when opening other flowers or when falling all the flowers within 1-3 months. Or it may not happen at all.

2

Among plant growers, it is generally accepted that phalaenopsis has faded if the tip of the peduncle has turned yellow, blackened, or completely withered. And then this tip should be removed. Cut the peduncle at the very base, that is, it must be cut completely. You can also trim only the top where the flowers used to be.

3

All flower stalks of orchids have the so-called "sleeping" buds. They are in protective flakes. With a long peduncle, there can be up to four such buds. Each of these bows can start a lateral peduncle or create a “baby”, so sometimes it’s worth waiting until new flowers grow on the old peduncle. For these purposes, the peduncle is pruned slightly above these buds.

4

It should be borne in mind that the remainder of the old flower stalk will slow down the growth of new ones, because the orchid will give out strength and nutrients to support the life of the old flower stalk, sacrificing new flowering shoots.

5

"Kids" usually appear in the summer, when it is hot and humid enough. When the “baby” phalaenopsis takes root 5 cm or more in length, it can be cut off along with part of the peduncle and planted in a separate flowerpot.

6

After flowering with flowers.
