Black carbon in pots and pans often becomes a problem, especially for owners of gas stoves. You can restore the shine to dishes with the help of potent cleaning agents for stoves or ovens - but not everyone is ready to use "toxic chemistry" for dishes. And here proven and harmless home remedies and even food products come to the rescue, making it easy to clean pans from soot.

In order to clean a pot or pan, you will need raw potatoes and baking soda. The cleaning properties of each of these ingredients are well known, and together they can work wonders with dirty dishes. There are several ways to do this.

Potato brush

Pour soda in a saucer, cut the potato in half. Dip a slice of potato in soda.

Rub the dirt on the potato properly, using it as a kind of sponge or brush. A mixture of potato juice with soda is an excellent detergent with a light abrasive effect, which copes quite well with soot. It is necessary to rub, applying effort - but then the result will be noticeable very quickly, pots and pans will literally brighten before our eyes.

Cut potato slices periodically so that the “working cut” always remains fresh and the potato juice continues to flow to the surface - and dip it again in soda.

After cleaning, wash the dishes in the usual way and be sure to rinse thoroughly, otherwise the remnants of the cleaning agent may leave cloudy stains on the walls of the pots.

Potato-soda "gruel"

This method will require a little more time for preparation, but it will save energy. Therefore, it makes sense to use it with large areas of pollution.

Peel the potatoes, grate on a fine grater. Mix the potato mass with soda to make slurry and apply it with a sponge to the contaminated surface.

Leave to act for 10-15 minutes, then treat with a stiff sponge or a dishwashing brush.
