Wax candles are widely used in the household. They are indispensable in case of a sudden power outage and in many other cases. But it happens that droplets of molten wax fall on the carpet and can ruin it.

To remove a wax stain from the carpet, do the following. Take a piece of ice in the refrigerator and place it on a contaminated place. When the wax freezes, crumble it with a blunt object, such as a knife, and vacuum the coating. Freeze remaining particles again and remove in the same way. Pre-wrap the ice in polyethylene so as not to wet the carpet and the stain itself.

If your carpet is not light and has a hard pile, remove dirt with heat. To do this, heat the iron so that it is hot, but not hot. Put a paper napkin or towel on the stain and iron it on top. If the stain is large, change the cloth several times until it no longer shows contamination after ironing.

If lightly soiled, use white spirit or turpentine. Wipe the stain thoroughly with a soft cloth dampened in solvent.

You can try to remove the wax stain with soap. Pre-scrape off most of the wax. Pour warm water into a liter jar and add a bit of plated laundry soap. Allow the soap to dissolve and mix thoroughly. Soak a rag in the solution prepared in this way and wipe off any dirt. After that, let the carpet dry naturally. In this case, the use of a heater or other heat source is unacceptable.

If you will use solvents or alcohol when cleaning the carpet, first try the product in the corner of the carpet, and then proceed to remove the stain. This must be done to check if the pile is shed.
Useful advice
After getting on the carpet, do not try to wipe it off immediately. Hot wax will only be smeared, wait until it hardens a little.
