Fault Codes
To diagnose the last malfunction of the Bosch washing machine, you need to close the hatch, put all the programs “OFF” and wait a few seconds. Then you need to select the spin, after which the start indicator starts to blink. Then press the button to change the spin speed and at the same time set the program selector to drain. The machine will display one of the following codes: F16 - means a poorly closed door, F17 - problems with water intake, F18 - problems with water drainage, F19 - heater problems, F20 - NTC temperature sensor, relay problems, F21 - engine drive problems, F22 - NTC sensor, F23 - indicates a water leak, F40 - problems with the input voltage, F63 - problems with the control module.
If the test diagnostics does not start, most often this means that the problem with the machine is not with the components, but with the control board.
To check the malfunction of a particular code and erase the last error from the memory of the Bosch washing machine, you need to set the program selector to one of the following positions. To check the drive motor, select 3, to check the pump - 4, for the heater - 5, for the hot or cold water inlet valve - 6 and 7, for the water inlet valve (main wash) - 8, for the water inlet valve (prewash) - 9. The sound signal test is performed when 9 is selected, the FCW automatic test is used when 12 is selected, the quick automatic test is carried out when 14 is selected. In various Bosch models, engine diagnostics are started in position 3 or 4.
