If you look at a modern robot vacuum cleaner, it’s hard to imagine that this “baby” is able to clean rooms, vacuum and even clean carpets. However, the rapid development of modern technology does not cease to amaze the “average citizen, ” and the self-propelled vacuum cleaner is a clear confirmation of this.

The main idea that guided the designers, developing a robot vacuum cleaner, was not only to facilitate the work of cleaning the room. Meticulous statistics have calculated that the notorious human factor seriously interferes with high-quality cleaning - a vacuum cleaner controlled by a person collects only 65% of dust, while at the same time the robot brings this figure to 95%. How does he succeed?

Equipment

Home robot has a serious snap; the whole apparatus in a circle is dotted with many cameras and sensors. And this is quite justified: after all, in the apartment at every step there are obstacles that need to be circled. The average number of cameras is 2-4, and the sensors can be 30-50! It is curious that cameras scan not only the floor, but also the ceiling, so that the robot can better navigate in space. The task of the sensors is to determine the obstacle and correct the movement in accordance with the route.

The software available in the electronic assistant allows you to work in two modes: automatic and manual. In the latter case, a remote control is used. During manual cleaning, the vacuum cleaner cleans the surface within a radius of about 1 m. This function is convenient if, for example, you need to eliminate the stain on the carpet. Automatic mode involves two types of cleaning: advanced and spiral. The first method is a thorough "cleaning" of the room; the robot divides the surface into squares and then each of them "processes". The second method of cleaning is used in the presence of a large number of obstacles - in this mode, the vacuum cleaner moves in a spiral and back and forth.
