Terry things are very fond of a feeling of comfort and security. What could be nicer than wrapping yourself in a gentle, warm terry bathrobe after a hot shower or bath? However, after several washes, the charm can disappear only because we did not adhere to simple rules when washing. How to wash terry things in order to maintain softness and comfort?
- Forget about boiling, terry products do not boil, they deteriorate from this and become tough. The washing temperature should not be higher than 60 degrees, it is best to wash at a temperature of 30-40 degrees.
- If you wash terry things in a washing machine, choose a delicate mode. The economical mode should also be excluded, since the terry product for washing needs more water.
- Do not load the washing machine when washing terry items. It is ideal that it is half loaded, since the terry product requires a lot of rinse water.
- It is best not to use automatic spin after washing: it is best to squeeze by hand, let the product drain by hanging over the bath, for example, and then hang it for drying in the open air. If you decide to use the spin in an automatic machine, then the speed regime should be gentle - no more than 500-700 revolutions.
- In order not to damage the product and maintain softness, it can be washed in a laundry bag.
- Try not to wash terry things with other things, especially those with hard or having metal fittings (rivets, zippers, etc.). During washing, these parts can be damaged by catching on the threads, and the terry thing can quickly fray.
- When washing, it is better to use a liquid detergent, and if you wash with powder - you should rinse the thing well so that there are no residues of the powder that makes the terry cloth stiff.
