Cockroaches are insects that can survive in places completely unsuitable for life. These parasites in a short time get used to various poisons and many funds after a couple of disinfection treatments generally cease to act on them. Fighting cockroaches in an apartment is not an easy task.

In the afternoon, when light, these insects are almost invisible. Also at night when you turn on the light, you can see that the cockroaches are trying to hide from view as quickly as possible. It can be concluded that these representatives of the fauna are afraid of the light. The fact is that the favorite habitat of cockroaches is dark and humid rooms, where there is food nearby, and their self-preservation instinct "does not" allow them to stay awake during daylight hours.

Many people think that cockroaches do not tolerate cold. This is true, however, these insects do not like cold so much as sudden temperature changes: they are equally afraid of both low and high temperatures.

According to some observations, it became known that cockroaches are afraid of pungent smells, especially the smells of benzene, ammonia, kerosene, etc. When smelling such “aromas” in a apartment, cockroaches disappear (however, due to poor weathering, these products are not used to combat these pests).

As for folk remedies that can be used to expel cockroaches, the best options are boric and acetic acid. Having processed the room (floors, plinths, hoods, etc.) with one of the above tools two to three times with an interval of three days, you can be sure that after two weeks the insects will disappear.

Coconut oil is also the worst enemy of cockroaches. By mixing coconut oil with water (one to one proportions) and spraying the product in places where these insects most often appear, you will scare them away, and cockroaches will have to look for a new place of residence.
