Instruction manual
1
Scrub as much wax as you can with wooden ice cream sticks or with your fingers. For easier cleaning, soften the wax with a hairdryer or hot water. Never use a knife or anything metallic, because this will damage the surface of the candlestick.
2
Rinse the remaining wax with white spirit, applying it to a soft rag. It is sold in household chemistry departments.
3
Polish the candlestick in the manner recommended for the material from which it is made. For example, goy paste and felt are suitable for polishing brass candlesticks.
4
There is another way to clean the candlestick. Put it in the freezer for an hour. Then immediately remove large pieces of wax. Remove residues with hot water.
5
If the candlesticks are gold, put them in a bowl of hot water and fill with powder. Then wipe them with a soft cloth.
6
If the candlesticks are gold-plated, remove the wax and wash in warm water with a dishwashing detergent. Then wipe dry and spread with Acidol. Wait 2 minutes and wipe off. Rinse again, wipe dry. Now rub with chalk to a shine.
note
Do not put metal candle holders in the freezer, as they can be made of several metals. This can lead to the fact that with a temperature difference, they will begin to expand and contract differently.
If the candlesticks are brass and varnished, then be very careful.
Useful advice
Before putting a candle in a candlestick, drip a little water to the bottom, so that later it is easier to clean it.
If the brass candlestick began to darken and fade, then use chemical polishing agents. They are sold at tableware stores. If this does not help, use abrasive polishing. For example, pastes for "abrasive" polishing, paste "GOI".
