Probably there are aspirin tablets in every home medicine cabinet. This simple and inexpensive tool not only relieves fever and relieves headaches, fight colds or hangovers, and helps fight acne and calluses. Aspirin can also be used in the household - as a bleach, stain remover or cleaning agent.

How to remove sweat stains and other organic contaminants with aspirin

Using acetylsalicylic acid, you can easily get rid of sweat stains on clothes. Aspirin also works well with clothes stained with blood or urine.

In order to get rid of such spots, two or three tablets of ordinary (not effervescent) aspirin are dissolved in ½ cup of water, soaked in the resulting solution with contaminated places and left for 2-3 hours. Then the polluted things are washed as usual.

If the stain is old, ingrained - you can use a more severe method, using aspirin in a "concentrated" form. To do this, several tablets must be crushed into powder, add a spoon or two of water and apply the resulting slurry to the dirt, leaving it to act for 15-20 minutes. However, on colored items, this method should be used with caution - the color of the fabric may suffer.

How to bleach linen with aspirin

Acetylsalicylic acid can also be used as a mild bleach: this proven folk remedy will help restore freshness to gray or yellow linen without ruining the fabric.

For these purposes, it is also not worth using effervescent aspirin: the vitamin supplements included in its composition will not help clothes regain their original color, they will only make the whitening process more expensive.

In order to bleach linen with aspirin, dissolve 4 standard tablets in five liters of warm water. To simplify the process, you can first dissolve aspirin in a small amount of hot water, and then pour the resulting product into the pelvis. Soak things for 2-3 hours, you can leave them at night, and then wash.

You can also use aspirin for washing in a washing machine - crush a few tablets and place them in the prewash compartment. You can add a small amount of washing powder.

"Conservative" for a bouquet

The property of aspirin to prolong the life of cut flowers is widely known. Half of the tablet dissolved in a liter of water will soften and disinfect the water and prevent stems from decomposing - as a result, the bouquet will last longer, in addition, the smell of decaying greens will not mix with the smell of flowers. You need to add aspirin with every change of water.

How to wash a narrow vase or carafe with aspirin

On the inner side of the walls of flower vases, jugs, decanters and other water vessels, a grayish coating often forms, which is very difficult to get rid of. Especially if it is very narrow and does not allow you to properly wash the vase, either manually or with a dishwasher.

Aspirin will also help get rid of pollution. But this time it is better to use effervescent tablets. When you fill the vase with warm water and throw a pill there, the resulting air bubbles “massage” the surface, acting as a kind of brush, and the acetylsalicylic and citric acids that make up the tablet will help to dissolve plaque. After 10-15 minutes, thoroughly rinse the vase under running water - and evaluate the effect.

Aspirin for routine toilet cleaning

In the same way, with the help of effervescent aspirin, you can "refresh" the toilet bowl - throw an aspirin tablet into it, and rinse the water after 10 minutes. This will help remove plaque formed on the walls and return the toilet to whiteness - and at the same time carry out antibacterial treatment.

However, this remedy should rather be attributed to the preventive one, which allows maintaining the cleanliness of the sanitary ware: aspirin can not cope with strong deposits of yellow and brown color, it will be necessary to resort to more concentrated potent agents.
