A new machine is usually greased. Before you start working, you need to remove it with kerosene. Drop two drops of kerosene in those places that must be lubricated according to the instructions. If there is no kerosene, washing with machine oil is allowed. Rinse all parts that are not coated with paint. After treatment, allow the machine to idle (without thread) so that any grease can escape. Then wipe the machine with a soft cotton cloth.
Engine oil must be in a special grease fitting. Her nose is inserted as deep as possible, a couple of drops are dripping. The shuttle mechanism also needs lubrication. Do not forget about the details that are under the platform. For better grinding of parts and uniform lubrication, it is necessary to turn the flywheel several times after applying it.
Before you start sewing, you need to drip 2 drops of oil into the shuttle and make a stitch on unnecessary fabric. Before each sewing session, wipe the dust and check for grease. If you rarely sew, then one grease for a month is enough.
Sometimes the machine needs enhanced cleaning. To clean the gear rack, put the needle bar in the upper position, remove the foot. Pull back the slide plate, unscrew and remove the needle plate. Then tilt the bobbin case ring and pull out the hook. For convenience, you can tilt the body of the machine back. Remove dirt with a special brush. If not, a toothbrush will do. Be sure to remove dust and grease from the sump.
Next, you need to lubricate the car at idle at low speed. Be sure to take care to lubricate the flywheel by injecting two drops of oil into the lubrication hole of the sleeve. The motor apparatus, footrest parts (on the foot machine) and cone studs are also lubricated.
