I am the proud owner of the LG WD 10150N washing machine. Since 2003, it has never broken and did not cause any difficulties. But, like any mechanism, it began to malfunction. She began to vibrate and hum very much. Even to me, a person far from technology, it became clear that everything would soon end badly.

My brother volunteered to help me, and upon a quick inspection, it became clear that the machine was leaking from behind in the bearing area. When I called the workshop, they told me that the repair would cost about 5 thousand. My brother suggested that I repair it myself, and I agreed.

We quickly disassembled my unit. Part of the operations was photographed so as not to forget. Although it would be possible to shoot everything on a video camera. True, they tried to pull the drum through the bottom, and it came out through the side panel, but these are trifles. The cause of the breakdown was worn bearings and seals, and as a result - a worn shaft.

Although it would be possible to pick up Russian analogues, I still decided to buy imported ones for 900 rubles at a company that was engaged in the repair of washing machines. They also proposed to bore the shaft on the drum. For a boring, they asked for another 700 rubles. In principle, I still won.

My brother is well versed in technology, which is why we collected my washing machine for about 2 hours. Unfortunately, I can not more accurately describe this process, since I myself am not particularly strong in this.

We solemnly turned on our LG, and it buzzed, gaining momentum. But happiness did not last long. A week later, she stopped wringing, and then washing. Something clicked in the typewriter, but the drum did not spin. Here, without any options, I had to call the wizard. It turned out that the brushes in the engine were erased from the old age machine. For the repair had to pay another 1700 rubles. Although I am more than sure that these brushes cost no more than 100 rubles.

Given today's dollar exchange rate, buying a new washing machine could be a pipe dream. And repair of old equipment is unreasonably overpriced. Therefore, if you are a little versed in technology, or you have friends who are ready to help you, then you should try to fix your unit yourself. Self-repair will cost 4 times cheaper.
