Limescale is not just a thin film that forms in a tea cup after it is poured into tea made with lime water. In its composition are substances harmful to the body, which form salt chemical compounds. At temperatures above forty, these compounds begin to solidify and at + 60 ° C precipitate, which is tightly "welded" to the helix of the kettle. Different water contains different salts, so the composition of the scale is different. But the harder the water, the more limescale forms. The most common carbonate scale. Sulphate, saturated with many compounds, is less common, but it is more harmful to the body. The most dangerous is a silicate scale. This substance is aggressive, which is not only capable of deforming the inner surfaces of the teapot, but also contributes to the formation of kidney stones in humans.
