For a comfortable stay, it is important that a certain temperature regime is maintained in a residential visit. You can control it using a room thermometer, and if necessary, you need to require an act on low temperatures in the apartment.

If you want to know the air temperature in the apartment for general information, find a convenient place in the house for permanent placement of a room thermometer. There are models on sale that can be suspended or delivered. Choose what is more convenient for you. You can place the thermometer anywhere in the house where the direct effect of high or low local temperatures is excluded. For example, do not hang the thermometer next to a stove or battery, put in a draft.

If your apartment is cold, and you want to draw up an act about it, proceed as follows. Call a representative of ZhREU, HOA or management company, depending on who is responsible for the maintenance of the apartment building in which the apartment is located.

Make sure that an employee of these organizations who came on call makes measurements with an attorney. Make sure that the thermometer is placed at a height of 1.5 m from the floor and at a distance of 1 m from the outer wall. Require measurements in each room. The time during which you should wait for the thermometer to change is at least 10 minutes.

According to the results of measurements, require the drawing up of an act. It can be issued on a special form or on a simple sheet of paper. It shall indicate the place, date and time of compilation, the persons present and whoever composed it. The document records the exact results of air temperature measurements. The act is signed both by the person who composed it, there and by other persons who were present during the air temperature control. An act signed without comment indicates your acceptance of its contents. Therefore, if you do not agree with the information reflected in it, indicate this in the act.

The minimum temperature in the rooms of the apartment should be as follows: bathroom +25; living room, kitchen +18 (corner room +20); lobby, staircase +16; elevator room +5; attic +4; basement +4. If the temperature in your apartment is below the specified minimum, you have the right to demand a recalculation for heating and ensuring a normal temperature regime through the court.
