Terry things are associated with comfort, security, a relaxed home atmosphere. Improper care of terry items leads to the fact that they become harsh, colors fade, terry loops lose their fluffy, stray, giving bathrobes, towels and sheets an untidy look. Is it possible to return terry things if not pristine, then at least a more or less decent appearance?
How to return softness and refresh color?
If towels, sheets or a bathrobe become stiff, you can try to return them to softness. To do this, do the following:
- Soak the terry product in a large basin with clean cold water for 12 hours.
- Rinse well in warm water to get rid of the remnants of washing powder.
- To begin with, the towel should be soaked in a large amount of cold clean water for 10-12 hours, and then rinse well. This will help get rid of the dried-out residue of the washing powder.
- Pour lightly warm water into a large basin, pour a few handfuls of table salt, dissolve the salt in water and immerse the terry thing there for 1 hour.
- Remove the product from the water, slightly wring out with your hands, without twisting.
- Hang the item over the bathtub or over a large basin to allow excess water to glass.
- After the water drains, gently shake the item and hang to dry. It is better to hang a dressing gown on a coat hanger.
- Without overdrying, remove a slightly damp terry product from the clothesline and steam it off with an iron. In no case should not be ironed, as fluffiness and softness will disappear.
- It is desirable to iron terry things by vertical steaming, keeping the iron at a distance.
