Basic rules for maintaining stretch ceilings

Canvas stretch ceilings have antistatic properties, which minimizes the care of them. In residential premises, to eliminate small impurities, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a dry cloth, and sometimes carry out wet cleaning. Care for stretch ceilings is largely determined by where they are. In rooms with high humidity and dust concentration, cleaning measures will have to be carried out more often. This category of rooms includes kitchens, bathrooms, loggias.

For dry cleaning, stretch ceilings should be wiped with a cloth rag. This should be done carefully, avoiding the appearance of scratches. Wet cleaning also has its own characteristics. It is not recommended to use products containing abrasive substances. It is better to use a soap solution, special polishes, a solution of ammonia (10%). In addition, when washing a stretch ceiling, the type of cloth should be considered.

Glossy Ceiling Care

Glossy ceilings tend to shine. But as dust particles settle on it and contaminants appear, the surface dims. Caring for a glossy ceiling is similar to caring for a mirror. To get rid of dust, you need to wipe it with a dry cloth. It is recommended to wash glossy surfaces with a special polish, glass cleaner or alcohol solution (100 ml of ammonia in 1 liter of water). After wet cleaning, wipe the ceiling with a dry cloth. So that there are no stains left, this should be done not in circular motions, but in the direction of back and forth.

Matte Ceiling Care

Stains on this surface do not remain, therefore, maintenance of a dull ceiling is often reduced to minimal cleaning. It is recommended to do this with water vapor. You can also use an aqueous solution made from warm water and a small amount of dishwashing detergent or glass. Alternatively, you can add shavings of laundry soap. If the ceiling is in the kitchen and greasy spots have formed on it, ammonia can be used instead of detergents. After cleaning, the ceiling must be wiped with a napkin.
