You can restore the attractiveness of a leather thing by washing it in warm water with the addition of a small amount of ammonia.
Patent leather items should be cleaned with a soft cloth using special fluids. If the product is made of leatherette, then for proper care it is enough to periodically wipe it with a soft sponge or cotton swab dipped in a washing solution. Do not get the wrong side wet. The remaining detergent should be removed with a damp cloth and wiped dry with a cotton cloth.
