For pet owners, the abundance of wool on carpets and upholstered furniture is a constant problem. Simple vacuuming is not efficient enough. However, there are still many ways to clean the carpet of pet hair.

Cats, dogs and other pets bring a lot of joy and positive emotions to their owners. But there are significant problems and troubles associated with keeping furry pets. When molting, the pet's hair spreads literally throughout the house, especially lingering on carpets and rugs. Normal vacuuming does not give the desired effect - with this method only long wool is absorbed, while fine wool is simply implanted into the base of the carpet, interwoven with a pile.
How to clean the carpet from wool: wet methods
Experienced housewives recommend cleaning a carpet from wool by walking along its surface with a rag dipped in an aqueous solution of fabric softener. And then vacuum the carpet. The conditioner thins the hairs, making the vacuum cleaner easier to handle.
To clean the dark carpet from wool, you need to pour used tea leaves (dry) along its perimeter, then sweep the carpet from one edge to another with a damp clean broom. Wools are wound on pieces of tea leaves, and the carpet will be cleaned not only of wool, but also dust.
There is another effective way. You can take a new washcloth, moisten it with water or a weak solution of vinegar and walk it along the carpet. In this way, you can remove hair, as well as long and short hairs. And vinegar will give a fresh look even to an old carpet.
Soft cat hair on the carpet is easy to remove with a terry sock soaked in glycerin, worn on the arm. Using this method, you can collect both wool and thin undercoat from the carpet.
The brush for a floor "ironing" well cleans wool from a carpet covering. By systematically wetting it with water, you can remove all surface contaminants from the carpet. A washing vacuum cleaner does a better job of this than its ordinary "dry" counterpart. It is ideal for owners of wire-dog breeds (scotch terriers or airedale terriers).
