Determine if you can disassemble the dishwasher yourself for cleaning or minor repairs. If you think that this task is too much for you, it is better to take it to a service.

Unplug the machine before moving it, removing panels or disassembling it. Wear tight gloves to avoid cutting your hands on the edges of metal panels. Before moving the machine to a place convenient for disassembly, make sure that all hoses and cords are disconnected. Lift and carry it with caution.

Before cleaning and repairing the machine, you must first remove the case panels, which are fastened not only with self-tapping screws, but sometimes with hidden fasteners, which will only be visible after you slide the panel to the side. Prepare signed bags for fasteners from different panels to facilitate machine assembly later.

Unscrew each fastener only with a suitable screwdriver (flat, Phillips, "asterisk", "asterisk with a recess"). Hex head screws - with a wrench, wrench or drill with a special nozzle. Do not forget to set the “reverse” mode on the drills before you start working with such fasteners.

If you find that the machine panels are attached with parts with protection against unauthorized access, then you will only be able to disassemble the machine if you have a special set of screwdrivers and keys. However, manufacturers of fasteners release new models every year, so if you are unable to find the right screwdriver or key, you will have to contact the service for help.

Prepare pliers to remove the clamp from the nozzle on which the dishwasher hose is attached. You may also need special pliers to remove the spring clip, if it is provided in the design of the machine. And, perhaps, it will be enough to unscrew the screws tightening the ends of the clamp.

When opening the dishwasher, carefully inspect the location of internal parts, components, and all wire connections before proceeding with disassembly. Make the necessary notes or even photograph the inside of the device.

Pay attention to what types of connections are inside the machine. Do not swing or pull the knife-type terminals together, as this may interrupt the connection. Use the tip of a screwdriver to remove the tip from such a terminal. When working with a screw terminal, loosen the screw with a screwdriver so that the wire comes out of contact, with a pin - unscrew the nut securing the wire with a key. Do not try to remove the crimp terminals yourself; only a service master can do this with a special tool. Yes, and faulty or damaged contact pads can be disassembled, repaired and assembled only by a qualified specialist. Therefore, if the problem is in them, assemble the car and take it to the workshop.
