Contact lenses are a very fragile means of vision correction. Damage them quite easily: they can deform, tear, become dirty. Almost any modern lens is made from hydrogel material. It is porous, allows the eye to breathe, absorbs moisture well, but is also susceptible to dirt. If you have chosen contact lenses as a daily attribute, take care of proper care of this accessory.

Instruction manual

1

Contact lenses perfectly absorb dirt. And the problem is not only in surface dust particles and hairs that are easy to rinse with a solution. Lenses, in the absence of care for them, become dirty from the inside. It can be as mote, grains of sand and various substances, as well as harmful microorganisms. Constant contact with the surface of the eyeballs leads to the formation of organic deposits on the lenses. These factors not only render the lens unusable, they increase the risk of developing eye diseases. To avoid loss of health and vision, lenses (especially long-term wear) should be washed and cleaned daily or weekly.

2

To do this, purchase special solutions approved by ophthalmologists. Their composition is designed with safety in mind for eye health. But poor-quality products with an expired shelf life can provoke serious diseases, up to blindness. The most simple and effective way to care for contact lenses is the use of multi-purpose solutions. They are designed to store, clean, disinfect and rinse contact lenses.

3

Before each interaction with the lenses, wash your hands thoroughly with soap. Remove and place the lenses in a container with plastic tweezers.

4

Contact lens cleaning is performed as follows. Fill the washed container with fresh solution, put the lens on the palm with the concave surface up. Drop a solution onto the lens, lightly press down and rub the surface of the lens with your index finger, thoroughly rinse the product in solution after cleaning.

5

To disinfect the lenses, take it out with a pair of tweezers from the solution, fill it with a fresh product and immerse the lenses in it for at least 4 hours (preferably at night). The lenses are ready to wear.

note

In no case do not use a home-made salt solution to store and disinfect the lenses. You significantly reduce the life of the product, and wearing such lenses will cause only a feeling of discomfort and even itching in the eyes. If you don’t have the means to purchase a quality solution for lens care and disinfection, use the usual saline solution, which can be bought at a pharmacy.
