Membrane fabrics require delicate care. It is not recommended to wash clothes from the membrane with ordinary powders, as these detergents clog the microscopic pores, as a result of which the fabric loses its breathing properties. Also, stain removers and chlorine-based products are not suitable for washing the membrane.

What are the best ways to wash clothes from the membrane?

If you want your favorite ski suit or sports jacket to serve you for several seasons, without losing your breathable and water-repellent qualities, it is advisable to use liquid detergents for washing. The best option is gels and cleansers designed for delicate washing clothes from membrane fabrics.

In order to avoid damage to the pores of the membrane, it is better to wash clothes by hand in warm water; you should also not soak and squeeze them for a long time. To remove stains, it is recommended to use ordinary household soap that does not contain bleaching additives. If necessary, the stain can be rubbed with a soft foam sponge or cloth.

Wash the membrane with soap and water

Laundry soap and baby soap are a good budget alternative to liquid detergents intended for washing membrane tissues. Soap solution is prepared in a basin or in an arc of a suitable volume. The soap must be cut into small pieces or grated, then mixed with hot water and wait until the pieces are completely dissolved. After the water has cooled to a temperature of 30-40 ° C, you can start washing the product. For 10 l of solution, 50 g of soap is enough. If the solution is too concentrated, white stains and stains may remain on the clothing. You should not leave clothes in soapy water for more than 15-20 minutes, because from prolonged soaking, the fabric fades and becomes dull.
