Products made of natural suede, velor or nubuck look interesting and very elegant. Of these materials, not only outerwear, shoes and bags are sewn, but also the main part of the wardrobe - shirts, trousers, skirts and dresses.
The pile surface requires delicate cleaning, if the item is very dirty, then it is better to dry clean it. In other cases, you can handle it yourself.
1. Dark spots on the sleeves and hem of a suede coat or sheepskin coat are removed with a mixture of soda and ammonia. To mark disappeared, just rub them with a cloth moistened with this composition.
2. Remove water stains or gloss from the collar, sleeves and pockets of a suede jacket, jacket or coat, using rubberized material or a rough sponge.
3. Glossy suede on the folds is freshened with fine-grained emery paper.
4. Salted areas of suede clothing are treated with diluted ammonia: cup of ammonia requires ¾ cup of water. Then these places are wiped with an acidified solution, for which 1 tsp is dissolved in 1 liter of water. vinegar essence.
5. If the product is cleaned with warm milk and soda, this will return it to its original form. To do this, 1 tsp will need 1 tsp. alkalis.
6. Brown suede or velor should be cleaned well with a brush that is moistened with coffee grounds. After the product has dried, dry bristles “pass” through it to remove coffee residues.
7. Headwear or suede shoes are well cleaned with fine table salt.
Only artificial suede can be washed. And then - do not wash, but carefully wash with a warm solution of soap or powder, spreading the product on a table or hanging it on a coat hanger. After cleansing, rinse the clothes well, gently wring them out (but do not twist them!) And dry them on their shoulders at room temperature. So that smudges do not appear at the bottom of the product, it is periodically blotted with a towel.
Also, artificial suede can be carefully cleaned with a soft brush with a neutral detergent, after which the remaining soap or powder is removed with a damp cloth, soaked in a dry towel and hung on a coat hanger.
To clean suede at home, in no case should you use stain removers, as they contain chemicals that will permanently ruin the thing.
