Carpets of light shades are considered impractical - they often need cleaning, spots often remain on the pile, which are not visible on a dark coating. But the benefit of the white carpet for the interior is obvious - it increases the area of the room, draws attention to furniture, favorably sets off the color of other components.

Dry clean the carpet. This will cost you more than trying to remove the stains yourself, but the result will be guaranteed - industrial chemicals rely on any kind of pollution. Although sometimes a slight shade may appear over the entire surface of the carpet.

Gather the carpet and take it outside, laying out in the snow. Notice the broom on the surface of the carpet and trample it a little. If the carpet is very dirty, then tap on it with a special cracker, knocking out dust. Then turn the carpet over and lay it on clean snow - repeat the manipulations with sprinkling and knocking out. Carefully sweep the carpet and bring it home.

Fill the carpet with fine table salt. Then take a regular brush, dampen it with water and rub the carpet, rubbing the salt. Sweep away any remaining salt and, if necessary, treat the coating again as well.

Severe contamination can be tried to remove with soapy water. Dilute in a liter of warm water half a spoonful of washing powder or planed white soap. Put the solution on the fleecy part of the carpet, wait a bit, then wipe the cloth with wet and dry rags.

Dilute two tablespoons of ammonia in a liter of water and treat areas of severe pollution. Then rub this area with a damp cloth, removing dirty water. Finally, clean the carpet with a soft, dry cloth.

Soak the sawdust in a solution of soapy water, add a little gasoline. Throw the sawdust on the carpet, distributing the mass with a broom. After half an hour, sweep the sawdust.

If the stain is fresh, then remove it immediately - press a hygroscopic sponge or a piece of dry cloth to the carpet. Then treat the stain with a brush dipped in soapy water and wait for it to dry. If traces remain, then fill this place with vinegar and after a while wash again with detergent. Fresh spots are well removed if you rub them with a rag soaked in cold water - repeat several times until the stain disappears.

Wash the potato peel, chop it and scatter it over the carpet. Rub heavily contaminated places with a potato mass grated - leave the composition for several hours, then wash the carpet with detergent.
