In the rainy season, a good umbrella is indispensable, but strong winds or careless handling can damage it. Do not rush to throw out a broken umbrella machine, it is quite possible to fix it with your own hands.

Most often in any umbrella, grooved spokes break. To repair them, find a metal tube with a diameter of 6 mm and cut a piece 3 cm long. For this purpose, you can use the antenna from a portable TV or radio. Straighten the ends of the broken knitting needle, put on the tube and squeeze the ends with pliers.

If tubular rivets at the ends of the spokes are damaged, insert a small piece of soft stainless wire into the hole and twist the ends. If you ignore this problem, you run the risk of revealing damaged umbrella tissue.

The design of the automatic umbrella provides for work with a tape, if it is broken, replace it. To do this, unscrew the top plug, remove the panel, and remove the nail-retainer from the top assembly. Then remove the entire assembly, place your hand on the open handset and open it very carefully. Be careful - inside there is a powerful spring that can fly out. Take out the roller and replace the tape.

Very often in automatic umbrellas, traction breaks in the place of their articulation. It is only necessary to start the repair of the traction when all the connections are loose and removed from the hooks. Cut a small 40x12 mm plate from a piece of tinned 0.2-0.3 mm tin and bend it along the length, turning it into a trough. If one of the halves of the broken rod is deformed, straighten it. Tin up the ends and install the pad, solder the repair site along the entire length.

In children's umbrellas with automatic opening, the latch that keeps the mechanism in the closed state sometimes stops working. To fix such a malfunction of the umbrella machine, proceed as follows: press the locking tab and slide it towards the handle. Remove the bent lock from the rod tube and straighten it, then reinstall it. If the metal is of poor quality, such measures will not last long, so it is better to replace the latch with a new one.

Many men who have a practical outlook on things want to buy automatic umbrellas. In fact, such a design is rightly considered the most convenient and simple. It is possible that the umbrella automaton is inferior to canes in terms of the degree of spectacular appearance, but hardly anything can be compared with the comfort of use with this model.

In automatic umbrellas in the locks, balls pressed by a spring are used. Sometimes they wear out or break and the umbrella ceases to be fixed in the open or closed position. It is best to replace them with a ball from the bearing, but such a ball is quite difficult to find, if only because the small bearing is difficult to find, and if it is, then break it.
