A modern washing machine is a complex device, the independent repair of which can lead to its final failure. Nevertheless, in some cases, it is quite possible to cope with the repair on your own.

Assess the malfunction of the washing machine. If some modes have stopped working and there is a malfunction in the electronics, then you most likely will not be able to fix the malfunction yourself, and you will have to contact a service center.

One of the frequent cases of failure of the washing machine is the failure of the electric heater (TEN), it can be replaced independently. Before starting repairs, unplug the washing machine by unplugging the plug from the outlet. Turn off the water supply, then drain the remaining water by opening the hatch on the bottom of the cabinet.

The heater can be located both on the front side of the washing machine and on the back, so find the information in the instructions or on the Internet. After that, unscrew the screws that secure the front (back) panel of the case and remove it.

When you reach the heating element, disconnect the wires going to it and to the temperature sensor. Loosen the mounting of the heater and remove it. Check the heater with a tester to make sure it is malfunctioning. Take the defective heater as a sample and get exactly the same. Reassemble in the reverse order.

A fairly common problem when using the washing machine is water leakage. If such a malfunction occurs, it is important to determine the place of leakage, therefore, having noticed water on the floor, do not rush to turn off the power immediately. The exception is when water flows out very quickly.

As a rule, the most common cause of leaks is loose fasteners on the supply and drain water hoses. Sometimes water flows out of the detergent tray, in which case the cause of the malfunction is a blockage in the rubber pipe (hose), through which water and detergents enter the drum of the machine. The pipe is clogged with lumps of washing powder, this happens if it is installed with a kink.

To clean a clogged hose, remove the top panel of the washing machine, then pull out the detergent drawer. Remove the screws securing the control unit and remove it; it may interfere. It is important for you to get free access to the hose attachment points, as it will most likely have to be turned a little to avoid clogging in the future.

The rubber pipe is secured by spring steel rings. Squeeze the ends of one ring with pliers and rotate the hose so that it no longer bends. After that, remember the hose by hand, eliminating clogging. Pour some water into the detergent drawer to rinse the hose completely. Assemble the washing machine in the reverse order.
