Modern washing machines are designed to operate in a fully automatic mode and do not involve user intervention in the washing process. But despite this, sometimes there are times when the washing process needs to be stopped immediately. This can be caused by the presence of foreign objects in the drum of the machine, erroneous loading of both white and colored items, improperly selected washing powder and other reasons.

In all automatic washing machines, the drum door is prevented from accidentally opening during washing. This is justified, because untimely opening of the laundry compartment can lead to spills of large amounts of water, disruption of the washing process and even damage to the washing machine. The door opening mechanism is locked by a special electromagnetic lock. The door closes at the beginning and remains firmly locked throughout the washing process. You can open the compartment only when the washing is completed normally.

A stop during the washing process or its early termination is an emergency situation for the “brain” of the washing machine. In this case, the control unit in accordance with the program continues to block the machine door. Its unlocking will happen automatically in a few minutes. If this does not happen, make sure that the wash program is completed. Do not try to unplug the washing machine. The door can only be opened with the power on.

If the door of the washing machine remains locked for a long time (ten minutes or more), make sure that there is no water in the drum of the washing machine. To remove water, run the “drain” program, which is available in each washing machine. If the drain program does not work, the drain pump of the washing machine is probably out of order. In this case, only specialists can open the washing machine. Do not try to use physical force or foreign objects to open the door - this will damage the mechanism.

Mechanical damage to the washing machine will void the warranty.
Do not try to open the door of the washing machine when there is no power! The laundry compartment will remain locked until the washing machine is connected to the mains.
