Scale with citric acid. Dissolve 10-15 g of citric acid in 500 ml of water. Pour the resulting solution into the tank and heat the iron. Then press the steam button several times. Cool the iron and repeat the procedure again. Instead of citric acid, you can use lemon juice.

Use the self-cleaning function. Pour water into the tank, set the maximum heating temperature of the soleplate. Wait for automatic shutdown and press the special button. It is best to clean over a sink or bathtub. During the procedure, the scale will escape through the steam holes on the sole of the iron. If necessary, you can repeat the steps from the beginning.

Take heat-resistant dishes with high sides. The sole of the iron should be freely placed in it. Put a few wooden sticks in the middle of the dish and place the iron. Then pour boiling water into the dishes so that the sole of the iron sinks 1-2 cm, and add citric acid or table vinegar. The effect will be better if you put the container on a slow fire. Leave in this condition for 10-15 minutes.

Use a special descaler. In hardware stores a wide selection of these drugs. The composition of the product includes weak acids that effectively cope with limescale. Dilute the powder in water and fill into the tank. Heat the iron to maximum temperature and press the steam button a little.

Pour the descaler, which must first be diluted in water, into the iron tank. Fold the old towel in several layers and place the iron on it with the sole down. After an hour, pour clean distilled water into the tank, heat to maximum temperature and turn on the steam function.
