Of course, pine resin or, as it is also called, resin is dirty enough. This is possible only when walking through the park and forest, installing a New Year tree for the holidays or working on a construction site. But even if you get dirty, then there’s nothing wrong with that, you don’t have to throw out your clothes, you can clean it.

- - acetone;
- - white soap;
- - starch;
- - turpentine;
- - ammonia;
- - hydrogen peroxide;
- - alcohol;
- - vegetable oil.

Clean the soiled thing and after that you can proceed to the painstaking task of removing the stain. To do this, take a cotton swab or a soft brush, soak in the product of your choice and start wiping the stain from the edges to the middle. This will prevent the stain from spreading over a larger area of tissue. If necessary, increase the concentration of the product.

If at hand there is no special stain remover for the resin, then use solvents (gasoline, benzene, acetone), especially if the stain is fresh.

You can use a more gentle way. Dilute the white soap with gasoline in equal proportions, wipe the stain with the mixture, leave for an hour and rinse.

Remove the old stain on dark wool with a mixture of potato starch (1 tsp) and a few drops of turpentine or ammonia. Apply the mixture to the stain and leave to dry, clean with a brush. If the stain does not disappear, then repeat the treatment again. A yellow spot may remain on the fabric, try to remove it with a solution of hydrogen peroxide.

With cotton, the tar stain is well removed by turpentine. If it does not clean the first time, then once again generously moisten it with turpentine, leave it to dissolve the resin, then wipe it with alcohol and rinse with water. You can also fill the stain with a mixture of turpentine and alcohol in equal proportions and iron the fabric through blotting paper.

It is not recommended to remove resin with leather using solvents. Better try to clean it with vegetable oil, which is easily washed with a dishwashing detergent. You can remove the resin by spreading the stain with butter and letting stand for several hours, then wash as usual.

If the soiled clothes are pre-frozen, the resin will be easy to scrape off, and the remaining stain can be removed by ironing this place with a hot iron through a napkin folded in 2-3 layers.

Before starting to remove the resin or stains from it, determine the type of fabric and check it for resistance to various stain removers. It may turn out that the material itself is not resistant to aggressive agents.
