Silicone is widely used in households: for example, this sealant is used to seal gaps between the bathroom and the walls with which it comes in contact, for fixing tiles, etc. But often after working with silicone on the clothes stains from this sealant remain. If the stain was set recently and did not have time to dry, removing it is quite simple. Gently pull on the area of clothing where the stain was placed, but be careful, because by tightening the fabric, you can overdo it and tear the product. If everything is done correctly, stretching, the sealant will turn into a thin film that you can easily take off your clothes.

Cold helps to cope with dried silicone. Place the thing stained with sealant in a plastic bag and send this “bundle” to the freezer for 3-5 hours. Then gently stretch the part of the product where the stain is placed, and remove the silicone film from the fabric.

Use a wash designed to remove foam. Apply this product on a cloth with a sealant stain and wait until it dries. After that, carefully remove the formed thin film with your fingernail (the silicone will be removed along with the wash) and wash clothes with washing powder. This method of removing sealant from the fabric is good because after the procedure there are no traces on the clothes.

Solvent is effective in the fight against silicone. Using a cotton swab, apply this product to a stain placed on silicone, cover this area with a clean cloth and iron it with a hot iron. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated.

Apply a little vegetable oil to the sealant stain and leave for a few minutes. During this time, the oil should dissolve the silicone. Next, wash the product in warm water using detergent.

Observe safety measures when removing silicone stains from clothing with chemicals: if they get on your skin, they can cause a chemical burn.

When washing clothes that have been stained with silicone, add 1-2 tsp to the soap solution. baking soda.
