As soon as the sun begins to bake, moth butterflies are activated. Each of them lays from 70 to 200 eggs, from which an army of voracious larvae appears. These caterpillars are planted in cereals, dried fruits, nuts, tea, gnaw upholstery, clothes and other products made from natural materials. They are even able to spoil the crop of garden crops. And although the listed crimes are on the conscience of different types of moths, the methods of getting rid of them are very similar.

Temperature

In the cold season, "freezing" infected with moth products and things outdoors helps during the day at a temperature of -20 degrees. In the summer - "roasting" under the scorching sun for several hours.

Tissues can be dipped in boiling water, ironed with a hot iron or steamed.

Dry bulk products should be spread out on a sheet with a thin layer and placed for 20 minutes in an oven with a temperature of 60-7 degrees.

Pungent odors

In jars of food, you can put one clove of garlic.

In clothes and kitchen cabinets it is useful to keep bags with dried citrus peels, odorous herbs, spices, or with sawdust conifers.

Mole cotton pads saturated with essential oils, fragrant soap, empty perfume bottles, if placed between piles of clothes, in pockets of clothes, inside shoes, scare off moths well.

Access limitation

So that the moth does not get close to dry bulk products, they should be stored in hermetically sealed tin and glass jars. The mouths of cans with products that can become moldy without airing should be tied with a cloth dampened in vinegar essence. Or pour the products into a linen bag, after soaking it with vinegar, and dry it.

Items from natural fabrics, fur products after socks must be cleaned, sprinkled with perfume, dried, stored in 2 plastic bags and tightly tied or sealed with tape.

Chemicals

In the kitchen, moth butterflies peck well on sticky tapes and trap houses that attract insects with a pleasant smell.

In clothing cabinets, briquettes, plates and tablets based on camphor, naphthalene and other substances that repel odors or poison insects can be placed.

Clothes, carpets and furniture can be treated with special aerosols with odors unpleasant for pests. There are also gels and aerosols for the treatment of walls and shelves of cabinets based on dichlorvos and other poisons.

In the garden and in the garden

In early spring, apple trees should be sprayed with solutions of malathion, chlorophos or other chemicals 2 times with an interval of 1 week. Then, treat trees and plantings of cruciferous garden crops every 1.5–2 weeks with natural infusions: 100 g of red hot pepper or tobacco dust, or 500 g of chopped tomato tops and 40 g of soap in a bucket of water.

You can arrange in the garden and hang containers with viscous syrup on the trees, in which butterflies attracted by the smell will sink.

Cleanliness

To prevent the appearance of moths, you need to sweep dust and sprinkled cereals from kitchen cabinets, and audit stocks of products.

Keep clothes only washed - traces of sweat attract insects. Do not forget to ventilate and disinfect storage.

In the garden, cocoons of pests should be removed from the branches in a timely manner, scavenger harvested, last year's foliage burned, tree trunks cleared of dead bark, mosses, lichens (the moth is hidden in them for the winter).

Subject to these conditions, the butterflies will not find refuge in your possessions and will go to seek favorable conditions for breeding elsewhere.
