When using a domestic air conditioner, it is necessary to systematically clean the filter, since in most devices the cooling function is combined with air purification, anti-allergic, antibacterial and deodorizing effect. Through a dirty filter, air filled with dust and harmful substances will enter the apartment.
Clean the filter at least once every two weeks. Only with this care will you be sure that the air in your apartment is cleaned of dust, and the air conditioner operates at full capacity, performing its direct cooling function.
By design, all filters are divided into simple mesh and complex - pocket. Simple filters are easy to clean.
Unplug the air conditioner before any work. Open the front cover, remove the filter. Wash the removed filter under running water with a sponge and degreasing detergent. Dry thoroughly, reinsert, close the lid, turn on the air conditioner. This method is used only if the filter is mesh, it can be washed, dried and used again.
Pocket filters cannot be washed. If your air conditioner stops working at full capacity, you will have to replace the filter. Commercially available replacement kits are available. Turn off the air conditioner, open the cover, remove the clogged filter, insert a new one, close the cover, turn on the device.
If your air conditioner is equipped with a high-tech soft or hard filter, it is not recommended to clean or replace the air cleaning element yourself. You will have to invite the wizard, buy a new filter. You will be replaced in accordance with all technical requirements.
Each time you remove the filter for cleaning or replacement, check the integrity of the rubber bands and frames for installing filter cartridges. Replace them if necessary.
Pay special attention - cleaning the filter does not replace the maintenance of a domestic air conditioner. The master must come at least twice a year and carry out full maintenance of the device. Only this method can guarantee that the air conditioner will last a long time and will perform all the functions stated in the manufacturer's technical specifications.
