Before starting to clean your shoes, dry them at room temperature, free from laces (if any) and fill with crumpled paper (or old newspapers). In no case do not use a hairdryer to dry, do not put shoes on batteries.

If you own suede boots (or boots), take a stiff brush, clean the suede from dirt (first along the pile, then against it), then wipe the problem areas on the shoe with a regular school eraser. If this procedure does not help, brush the shoes by brushing them in soapy water and a few drops of ammonia. Either rub the suede shoes with half a potato, let it dry at room temperature, brush it with a dry brush and treat with a suede spray. This will protect the fabric from harmful effects.

Leather shoes should be cleaned and the exposed salt should be wiped with a soft cloth moistened with vinegar. To do this, dilute a glass of vinegar with a glass of warm water. After the shoe dries, apply a special protective cream to it.

Either dampen a cloth with ammonia and wipe the shoes with it. After 20-30 minutes, coat with cream and leave overnight. In the morning, polish your shoes (or boots) with the cloth. To protect leather shoes from the negative effects, lubricate them with castor oil or fresh lard.

Textile shoes are looked after as follows: Add a teaspoon of ammonia to a glass of water. Soak a soft cloth in this solution and wipe the white streaks.
