The most gentle way to clean vertical blinds is to lay lamellas rolled up in a soap solution. They should not be rubbed, you just need to leave the lamellas in a soap solution for a while. Then the blinds must be hung in place and wait until they dry. Unfortunately, there is a danger that special impregnation may be washed off the lamellas, and then they will become more dirty. If your lamellas are ordinary, you should consider replacing them with new ones, or take the help of special cleaning companies.

If the lamellas are made of plastic, simply wipe them with a damp cloth. The easiest way to care is for wooden blinds, they can be vacuously cleaned, or, as in the case of plastic slats, wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Do not wash wooden blinds, lamellas can be deformed under the influence of water. For the same reason, it is not recommended to hang wooden blinds in rooms such as baths, saunas or pools.

Experts do not recommend washing the fabric on their own in case of severe contamination of the lamellas. The fact is that for different types of fabrics for vertical blinds, the impregnation is made of different substances. When they react with various detergents or detergents, it is not known how this will affect the lamella fabric. It can not only warp, but also sit down, and after that the vertical blinds will become unsuitable for operation. It is impossible to know in advance how the washing will behave, therefore such a risk is not justified.
