The fungus that appears on the walls and in the corners of damp rooms, not only spoils the appearance of the house, but also has a negative effect on human health. Mold can cause various skin diseases, affect the respiratory and circulatory systems, and even the musculoskeletal system. Therefore, in any case, it is impossible to prevent the appearance of unpleasant mucus and gray-green raids in the home.

First, try to reduce the dampness in the room. To do this, make sure that taps do not leak anywhere, water doesn’t get on the walls, the roof doesn’t leak, there are no places where condensation collects, and there are no cracks in the walls through which moisture could enter.

Check the exhaust ventilation and ventilate the rooms thoroughly. You can reduce the humidity in the room with the help of an air conditioner, but so that the fungus does not settle in the air conditioner, use a device with filters with special impregnation.

Dry the room well. To do this, you can use an electric heater or a construction hairdryer.

When starting to destroy the fungus, take care not to breathe in the air contaminated with the spores of the fungus, as well as to prevent them from getting on the skin. Therefore, it is advisable to have a respirator and long gloves.

Remove all damp things, old coatings, including wallpaper and paint from the room. Use a spatula to remove mold from the walls. If the fungus has penetrated deeply, remove the entire finish, possibly even to brick or concrete.

To get rid of the fungus, you can use both traditional formulations and special means designed to combat the fungus.
Copper sulfate. Dilute the powder in accordance with the instructions and apply with a brush to the affected area.

Chlorine-based bleach. This composition is applied in three layers.

Special antiseptic primers. There are a lot of such funds in building materials stores, and they are intended not only to destroy, but also to prevent the appearance of all kinds of fungi. They are usually immediately ready to use.

Apply the product evenly on a clean, dry surface with a brush or spray gun.

After you are convinced that the fungus is nowhere to be found, take care to create conditions that prevent its occurrence: do not allow excessive humidity, ventilate the room, remove excess indoor plants and, while arranging furniture, leave gaps for air circulation.
