It would seem that a simple and familiar thing is mopping. But it also has its own little tricks that are important to know. After all, a perfectly washed shiny floor is one of the hallmarks of a good housewife.
Do not use large amounts of water to clean the floor: if the floors are wooden, the wood will swell when the water gets into the cracks. If you have laminate flooring, plastic may peel off from a lot of moisture. And in linoleum there can be cracks where moisture will get.
Parquet floors do not wash! You can wipe it with a damp cloth soaked in cold water with the addition of glycerin (1 tablespoon per glass). In the same way you can refresh the parquet and varnish.
Pollution from a natural parquet not varnished is cleaned with sawdust slightly moistened with turpentine. The floor is covered with a layer of sawdust, left for an hour, and then swept away with a clean brush and rub the floor to a shine.
You can wash floors covered with linoleum, ceramic tiles, as well as painted wooden floors with specially designed detergents. And you can replace them with a weak solution of washing powder (a couple of tablespoons in a bucket of water). You can add a little ammonia to the water for shine.
To wash floors painted with oil paint is best done with warm water, to which half a glass of vinegar and a couple of spoons of ammonia (per bucket) are added. This will achieve a pleasant shine and refresh the color of the paint.
