How to choose a varnish
There are a huge number of different compositions designed for varnishing the surface. By the nature of the formation of the film, two main groups of varnishes can be distinguished:
- alcohol and nitrocellulose paints and varnishes, ensuring the formation of a film on the surface of the product as a result of volatilization of solvents;
- oil, polyester, polyurethane, urea-formaldehyde varnishes, which form a film on the surface of the product after the onset of chemical reactions. Such a coating has an insoluble state.
