Instruction manual

1

Before you buy rubber paint, carefully read its scope. Rubber paint is used to cover almost any surface - concrete, plaster, brick, drywall, wood, chipboard, fiberboard, tile and even asphalt, galvanized steel and asbestos cement. However, it should not be used for painting furniture, floors, window frames and doors.

2

Prepare the surface for painting. Thoroughly clean it, if necessary, remove dirt, chalk, oil and grease stains, the remains of old paint. If the surface is very greasy, treat it with a degreasing agent. The paint will best fall on the putty and polished surface, but do not forget to thoroughly clean it from dust formed during the grinding process.

3

If you want to paint with a rubber paint a surface previously coated with oil or alkyd paint, sand it to a matte finish. Rinse with a solution of soda or sodium phosphate, rinse with water, cover with universal primer and dry.

4

Open the can of paint and mix it thoroughly. In general, it is not advisable to dilute the rubber paint, but if it is very thick, it can be made more liquid with water. If necessary, add color, in which case the paint must be mixed with a special tool or nozzle on a drill, otherwise it will not be possible to obtain a uniform color.

5

Apply the first coat of paint on a dry surface with a roller, brush or spray (ambient temperature should not be lower than + 5 ° C). Wait until the layer has completely dried (from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on humidity and air temperature) and apply a second layer. In general, 2-3 layers are needed to create a smooth, durable surface.

6

Stir the paint from time to time, as it may delaminate. Rinse tools immediately after finishing work, preventing drying. Due to the fact that the paint has many properties of rubber, it can be given any shape, and it does not crack even when bent, stretched or exposed to frost.
