A new shirt is sold folded in a special way. Creases remain at the place of the folds of the fabric, so before ironing the shirt, it must be moistened. You can wrap it in a damp terry towel 30 minutes before ironing or sprinkle it out of a spray bottle. An iron with a good steamer solves this problem without first wetting it.

Ironing of a shirt with a collar begins. To do this, first smooth the wrong side, moving the iron from the ends to the middle, and then iron the front part. This rule applies to all shirts. Only black things are ironed from the inside or through an additional thin fabric, since they can acquire excessive shine from the iron.

Then iron the cuffs of the sleeves, as well as the collar: first from the inside, then from the outside. The sleeve is ironed when folded from two sides, so that the seam remains in the middle. Then iron along along the side seams, smoothing the previous arrow. If the ironing board is equipped with a special stand, then smoothing the sleeves will be even easier. The main thing is that, as a result, no arrows remain on the sleeves, which are considered a sign of bad taste.

Fold the shirt with the front shelf with buttons at an angle to the side of the board. So it will be convenient to iron the bar. Make sure that there are no fabric bends between the buttons and around the pockets, if any. Use a steamer to smooth them.

In a similar way, smooth the second bar with loops and proceed to ironing the back. First iron the side seam and go to the yoke. After the upper part of the back is ironed, it remains to walk the iron in the center and the second side seam.
Useful advice
Start ironing only after making sure that the temperature of the iron matches the type of fabric. For synthetics, the lowest temperatures are selected, and cotton and linen require a maximum level.
