No need to be afraid of the carpet - caring for it is quite simple, especially if it is not about stains. The lower the pile of the carpet, the easier it will be to take care of it.
On a dark carpet, garbage very quickly becomes visible: specks, strings, etc. A light carpet is dangerous for stains - the smallest speck will be very noticeable on it. A carpet with a bright pattern is the best solution, almost nothing is visible on it. But, of course, this does not exclude the need to care for him.
You will need a good, powerful vacuum cleaner with a nozzle for the floor (sometimes on such a nozzle there are special retractable brushes for carpets - this is just what you need), vacuum the carpet once or twice a week - this will be quite enough. Vacuum until you stop hearing the specks flying through the pipe of the vacuum cleaner, hitting its walls.
Get carpet cleaner, or rather shampoo for carpets (for example, Vanish). About once a month, wash a carpet with it: add a little shampoo for carpets to the bucket of water, foam (foam should be large), apply this foam to the carpet (try to keep the minimum amount of water on the carpet - he is afraid of it), let the foam minutes lie on the floor, then thoroughly vacuum the carpet. Naturally, all this needs to be done with rubber gloves, since the carpet cleaner may not have a beneficial effect on the skin of the hands. Done! Your carpet, as good as new - nothing complicated!
