Ecostyle is not just a fashionable trend of our time. This is a new lifestyle that promotes health and the environment. Introducing its principles into everyday life is a fairly simple and low-cost task.

One of the latest fashion trends, which is gaining ever-wider momentum, is a commitment to eco-style in all areas of life: in interior design, the use of natural building or decoration materials, the production of fashionable clothes and jewelry, the pursuit of healthy nutrition and sports.

But in an effort to feel unity with nature, to become closer to it and to get rid of the suffocating bonds of urbanization, one should not forget that such a lifestyle implies not only one’s own comfort born of comfortable clothes and a stylish interior, but also the desire to minimize the damage caused man around the world.

You don’t need to go to save polar bears or go on a protest march to close industrial facilities. It is enough to just reconsider everyday habits, replacing widely advertised cosmetics and household cleaning products with alternative substances. This measure will help not only maintain health and beauty, but also save significant funds from the family budget.

Tableware

So, even the dirtiest and greasy dishes can be easily washed with ordinary mustard powder or baking soda. These substances do not leave an indelible, thinnest surfactant film on the surface of plates and cups, which is so harmful to human health.

The most common table vinegar easily copes with scale in a teapot, eliminates plaque from plumbing items, ideally cleans faucets and other chrome parts. In addition, vinegar effectively destroys mold, neutralizes dust mites, removes unpleasant odors, and helps to prevent blockages in sewer pipes.

Washing

Powder for washing wool and silk items successfully replaces dry mustard, added directly to the washing machine's tank - it is important to remember that water should not be higher than 40 degrees, otherwise the mustard will turn into lumps unsuitable for washing. Mustard powder not only successfully launders things, but also gives them a fresh aroma.

Chintz or linen can be soaked in a salt solution - it not only removes dirt from the fabric, but also preserves the brightness of its color and structure of the fibers. Salt does not wash off heavily soiled things, you will have to use either the soap dish root, sold in pharmacies, or soap nuts.

Cleaning

A small bubble of glycerin will successfully help polish the furniture, giving it shine and freshness. In addition, a thin glycerin layer deposited on the varnished surface has dust-repellent properties.

You can polish with a damp cloth dipped in glycerin with a drop of lemon juice, not only furniture, but also linoleum with parquet. This will help to give the floors clean, fresh and mask small scratches and scuffs.

Cosmetics

For washing oily hair, soda or mustard powder is ideal with rinsing with soft water, in which a small amount of vinegar or lemon juice is added.

Dry hair gratefully responds to washing with fresh egg or kefir, and for normal hair, whey and rye bread are ideal. As a conditioner, herbal decoctions can be used.

Industrial shower gels successfully replace oatmeal soaked in water or milk, wholemeal flour, turmeric, diluted in warm water to a mushy state. Such gels gently cleanse the skin, nourish it and moisturize, eliminating the need to use creams or body milk after a shower.

Natural clay (except red) is useful as an alternative to toothpaste, scrub, factory masks for facial skin. In addition, the clay, crushed into powder, well cleans any impurities, including engine oil, fuel oil or bitumen, while not having a harmful or drying effect on the skin of the hands.
