You can make table decor in a wide variety of techniques. If at hand there are the remains of wallpaper, natural materials, glue and paints, you can make a work of art from an ordinary table.
Decoupage
The easiest and most affordable way is to apply on the surface of paper or fabric. The surface for this is pre-sanded, removing the old varnish or paint, then primed, applying 2-3 layers of acrylic soil of the desired color with a wide brush or roller. Before applying each subsequent coat, make sure that the previous one is completely dry.
Paint is applied to the dried layers of the primer or, immediately, a layer of PVA glue. When these layers have dried, you can proceed to decoupage. The elements to be glued are laid out on the surface. These can be special decoupage cards, either whole or cut from them fragments, or three-layer large napkins and fragments from them, previously freed from the lower layers of paper. You can use clippings from magazines or photos, fabric, lace, skeletonized leaves.
Glue with a wide hard brush and PVA glue, in the direction from the center of the fragment to the edges. Care must be taken to ensure that no air bubbles remain, but at the same time not to damage the thin paper with an extra press. This decor method allows you to turn an old table into a flowering meadow, a map of the world or a repository of old nostalgic photos.

With the help of a drawing, you can transform everything, given that paints are created that are ideally suited for any surface, and fixing the result of varnishes. Two contrasting colors are enough to completely transform the table. You can paint manually or according to ready-made stencils, there are also no restrictions on the choice of plot.
To begin with, the surface should be carefully sanded, dusted with a damp cloth and several layers of primer applied. You can start drawing right on it, or you can additionally tint the surface in the desired color. After drying, the finished drawing is covered with several layers of varnish, and the table can be considered ready.
