Lemon juice is a natural whitening product that is quite careful even for delicate fabrics. Mix it in equal parts with cold water. Immerse the soiled area of clothing in the resulting solution and wait half an hour. Then look for rust spots. If not, rinse the item in cold water. Otherwise, repeat the procedure. Finally, wash clothes with powder for stubborn stains.
To quickly remove rust stains, pull the cloth over a pot of boiling water. Pour citric acid into the damaged area. Hold in this position for 5-10 minutes and rinse in cold water. If the product cannot be cleaned after the first time, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
There is another fairly effective way to remove rust stains. To do this, prepare a thick paste consisting of table vinegar and table salt. Apply it to the stain with a generous layer and leave for 30-40 minutes. Then rinse the treated area with a stream of cold running water.
If folk methods could not return the clothes to their original appearance, use industrial household chemicals. Modern manufacturers produce a huge number of stain removers that can cope with the task without damaging the material. Before use, be sure to read the instructions. Remember that it is not recommended to remove rust stains with bleach.
