With a banana peel, you can not only make jokes by laying it on the asphalt, but it can come in handy in using a number of things.
1. Polishing silver
A banana peel can be used to polish dull silverware. Grind it in a blender, add water to obtain the consistency of toothpaste. Then, using a soft cloth and a small amount of the prepared mass, start polishing the silver, and you will see that the dark coating begins to disappear. After that, rinse off any remaining banana and polish the surface with a soft cloth to restore shine.
2. Shoe cream
Thanks to natural oils and wax in a banana peel, it can be used to clean and shine leather shoes. Rub the shoes with the inside of the peel, then polish with a paper towel or dry cloth.
3. Repair scratched CD or DVD disc
Place the disc with small scratches on a flat surface with the label side down. Wipe the shiny surface of the disc with the edible portion of the banana first, then for 2 minutes with the banana peel. The pulp and wax from the peel will help to clean and polish the disc. Remove the remaining banana with a clean, soft cloth dampened in a glass cleaner and let the disc dry.
4. Teeth Whitening
Brush your teeth as usual using toothpaste, then rub the surface of your teeth with the soft white portion of the banana peel for two minutes. Minerals in the skin, such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese and phosphorus, are good for your teeth and help lighten them. Brush your teeth again to remove any remaining banana. Repeat the procedure 1-2 times every day to whiten your teeth.
5. Removal of splinter
If you can’t get the splinter with improvised means, attach a piece of banana peel with the inside to the area with the splinter and fix it with a band-aid for 24 hours. Enzymes will stretch the skid onto the surface of the skin, where you can easily remove it and heal the wound.
6. Scratch Healing
The banana peel contains a number of natural oils and enzymes that relieve pain from sunburn, scratches and abrasions, as well as contribute to their faster healing. In addition, it reduces inflammation and irritation from mosquito bites and other insects. Attach the peel of the banana with the meaty part to the scratch or bite and secure it with a bandage or simply wipe it. Repeat the procedure at least once a day until the wound heals.

8. Treatment of psoriasis and acne
Psoriasis is a painful peeling of the skin. Rub the fleshy portion of the banana peel over the affected areas to alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis, such as pain and dryness. In case of acne, do the same. You will notice improvement over several uses.
9. Skin Benefits
Minerals and antioxidants in a banana peel are good remedies for maintaining healthy skin. Just wipe it with the inside of your face, neck and other parts of the body. This will benefit your skin, moisturize it and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
10. As fertilizer
Banana peels are rich in potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and nitrogen. These macronutrients contribute to the healthy growth of plants, including tomatoes, peppers and roses. Cut the banana peel into small pieces to speed up the decay process, spread around the plant and sprinkle with earth. It will decompose, providing nutrients to the soil. Or add banana skins to a compost pile to increase the mineral content in it. To fertilize indoor plants, you can dry the banana peel in air or use the oven to speed up the process. When it darkens and becomes brittle, crumble it and put it in a bag for future use. If necessary, add crushed peel to the pot and mix with the ground.
11. Remedy for aphids
The banana peel placed in the ground around the base of the plant will help scare the aphids away from them. To do this, cut the crust into small pieces, allow them to dry and bury at a small distance from your plant.
12. Plant cleaning
Peel the leaves of houseplants with a white soft piece of banana peel. Wipe each sheet to remove dirt and dust and restore their natural shine.
