Polished furniture may leave white spots from hot objects (mugs of tea or coffee). Do not rush to get rid of damaged furniture. Stains can be removed with improvised means.

In order to get rid of the whitish spots on the polished furniture in the living room, bedroom or other room, you should use a fairly common method of restoration. You will need: red wine, olive and linseed oil, wax or paraffin, metal wool, a cloth, a wax stick and paper napkins.

Thoroughly clean the surface of polished furniture from dirt with a soft, slightly damp cloth. After that, go over the furniture with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture. Take paraffin or wax and rub a white spot on it. Then put blotting paper on top and heat with an iron.

Wait a while. It is possible that the procedure will not be enough to eliminate the stain. Then the procedure will have to be repeated several more times. Rub the stain with a little wax every time. Make the stain completely disappear and wipe the problem area with a paper towel, and then polish with a cloth.

The defect may remain even after the disappearance of the white spot. Often the surface simply loses its luster. If you polish the surface of the furniture, you can forget about the matte stains. To do this, take a cotton swab and moisten it in a small amount of linseed oil. Wipe in a smooth circular motion several times where the spot was. Then use a paper towel to remove any remaining oil. This can take about 30 minutes. You can restore shine with a car paint cleaner. It must be applied to the cloth and polished surface with light circular movements.

Also, special metal wool is perfect for grinding.

In some cases, white spots occur on the surface along with other damage - subtle scratches or cracks. All this looks extremely unaesthetic. Eliminate such damage with a mixture of olive oil and red wine. Mix these components in equal proportions in a small container. Then put it in a dark and cool place for a while. The mixture should be infused. After that, apply the resulting product to the problem area for a quarter of an hour. It is necessary to wait for the complete absorption of the composition into the surface of the spot. In smooth circular movements, remove the remaining product with a soft cloth.

To work with a wax stick, heat the knife blade and hold it near it so that it heats up

If the scratches are deep enough, you will have to use a special filler (the material with which the furniture is covered). First, thoroughly treat damaged areas with alcohol. Then brush or paint. Let the surface dry and blend it. Not only the material with which the furniture is painted can act as a filler, but also a wax stick. Scratches should be filled with wax until it rises above the surface of the furniture. Extra will have to be cut with a sharp object and polish the damaged area.
