From a plastic window it can blow due to improper installation, the use of low-quality fittings and due to insufficient insulation of the slopes and window sill. The quality of the plastic of the window itself also matters, especially in regions where it is very hot in the summer and cold enough in the winter.

The joy of installing new plastic windows can be overshadowed by the fact that with the advent of cold weather, it starts to blow. There can be several reasons for this phenomenon, and most of them are associated with improper installation. So why is it blowing from a plastic window?

Causes

The impression that comes through from a plastic window can come about because in severe frost outside the window the glasses are cooled, and with them the air circulating around the window from the inside. To make sure that a plastic window is blowing, you need to light a candle and walk with it along the perimeter of the window, paying special attention to places where the window sash is adjacent to the frame. At the same time, it is not difficult to understand by the nature of the vibration of the flame whether this is really a draft or just a slight vibration of the air. If the window in the opening is not installed correctly, its geometry will be violated and places will appear where the flaps will not fit snugly to the frame. To solve the problem, you have to reinstall the window.

If insufficient warming of the slopes was performed, then it may blow not from the window itself, but from the slot under the windowsill or in the slopes. This problem is easily solved if you dismantle the slopes and foam the frame perimeter, and the window sill also needs additional insulation. Why else can blow out of a plastic window? It can pass through the hinges because in this place there are a large number of hardware fastening elements passing through the plastic into the hollow frame. If the outer side of the window sash in the frame has openings formed, for example, by fixing the rod mosquito net, air can circulate through them, which, entering the frame, exits through the openings in the hinge area.

Due to the marriage of the product allowed during production, it can blow from the junction of the impost and the window frame. The presence of a gap indicates poor-quality attachment of the impost, and yet all window elements should be clearly and evenly connected to each other.
