Household or computer equipment can be handed over in shares to specialized stores to get a discount on the purchase. Or advertise on the Internet about their sale or exchange for something. As an option - call the repair bureau, maybe they will be accepted for spare parts. Volunteers of charitable organizations will be happy with working, but obsolete, in your opinion, equipment. They will hand it over to the poor or be able to equip their offices for work.

Furniture in good condition can be sold at a low price or delivered to a thrift store. In some cases, even a grandmother’s sideboard or great-grandmother’s bed is ready to buy for nothing, for example, in a hostel or in a rented apartment. Offer chairs, tables and nightstands to watchmen at work or in organizations near the house - they will readily pick them up to put them in the change house.

Old mattresses, blankets, quilted jackets and similar things can be given to animal shelters, where they will make bedding for dogs and cats.

Clothing comes in several ways. Suggest to your friends if there are younger children in their family if they have children’s clothes, especially outerwear that they didn’t have time to endure. They are also accepted by departments of social protection in district administrations or city halls. Adult items there are almost not in demand, but they are taken in churches, the Red Cross and other charitable organizations.
Be sure to check that the clothing given is clean, without holes, with all buttons in the right places and active "zippers", and shoes - not with worn-out heels. Those who receive things do not have extra money for repairs, and it is humiliating for poor people to take dirty and torn things.

Books can be easily distributed through advertisements or by placing them on a book-crossing shelf in bookstores, libraries, cafes and anti-cafes. Libraries themselves often get rid of old editions, so it’s unlikely that they will accept old books from you. But they can be offered to hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, etc. - depending on what kind of literature you are ready to give. Such institutions often do not have extra money to replenish the book fund. Morally obsolete or low-quality books are best disposed of as waste paper.
