Terry things make our life cozier and warmer. However, they require special care. What products should be used to wash delicate terry items - sheets, towels, bathrobes?
- The best option for washing terry products is a liquid detergent, and even then, you should try to use it to a minimum.
- If you wash with powder, then an additional rinse should be used, since a poorly rinsed powder, when dried, gives the terry product an unpleasant stiffness.
- White and colored terry products should be washed separately. For colored products, it is recommended to use a tool to preserve color intensity, and for very light and white terry things, it is good to use products with optical brighteners.
- One of the reasons that terry products become stiff is hard water. Water softener should be added to the washing machine.
- If you wash or rinse the terry products with your hands, then when rinsing in water, you can add a little vinegar - it will soften it and make the colors more saturated.
- Try to use conditioner when rinsing and washing to soften fabrics. Especially good is air conditioning, which includes silicone. It gives a delicate aroma and fluffy loops on the fabric.
- You can add table salt with a manual rinse - for softness and fluffing loops of terry cloth.
